Of course let me tell you:
A blow with the fist- it's quite a simple task

when they taunt artists like us,
call us 'too girly' a 'tomboy' a 'wuss'
Their names appear in top-selling books,
the same hair, eyes, 'brain's and looks,
Killed slowly, embarrassed and shamed
On painting and movies, manga's and games,
And you were the ones calling us names,
So don't anger us artists-

It is painful at times,
Seeing those born with skill and talent.
They paint such beautiful things, using the barest of material.
Entire worlds are spun at their fingertips, all from a dot of paint.
I think sometimes, of how nice it must be,
To be able to capture such beauty, within the borders of a page.
To spin a tale from but the smallest of phrases,
To create a fantastic adventure from a mundane experience.
It is painful indeed at times. When I am seated in this room,
Surrounded by the dull hum of failure and regret,
I ask myself, with eyes burning in the mirror,
Am I finally ready to give it all up?
'No!' I say
I will not let it end

If you're different, you're insane
You're not? Then you're a fake.
If you're happy, you're hiding something.
You're not? You must be emo.
If you're dating, you're a slut.

When a writer puts his soul and passion into his work.
It will go unnoticed, often because of its length.
It is a rather sad fact, but a truth nonetheless.
For the simple emotions conveyed in just a few words,
Often hold more sway with those who are emotionally swayed.
There is no depth of the heart, nor a single thought spared.
For the effort placed into a piece that forgoes the winning edge,
For a hint of true meaning.
You will not read this piece and I will not expect you to.
It will not be popular or famous, nor will it see the light of day.
For length is the bane of true poetry,
And that is why so many of my kin have already l

So yes, we are all artists out here, whether you draw, write, read, look and so on. I haven't been on much but oh well. Here you go! By the way....

Now a lot of people have been saying how lame this is and oh so childish- well I'm glad you think so this poem is written from a childish point of view, it's not sophisticated, doesn't have a deep meaning, simple childish structure and simple rhyme scheme. It has purposely been written like this so please, if you don't have nice to say, don't say it- but critique is always welcome.

lol people never called me a wuss for being an artist. in fact what annoyed me when people actually appreciated my talent is asking "can you draw me" And I said sure if I wanted to put in the time and effort XD
